Once upon a time, there was a young boy who looked after sheep near a village. Every day, he took the sheep to the field and felt bored.

One day, he thought of a trick. He shouted, “Wolf! Wolf! Help! A wolf is coming!” The villagers heard him and ran to help. But when they reached there, there was no wolf. The boy laughed and said it was just a joke.

The next day, he did the same thing again. “Wolf! Wolf!” he cried. The villagers rushed again, but once more, there was no wolf. They felt upset and went back.

A few days later, a real wolf came near the sheep. The boy got scared and shouted, “Wolf! Wolf! Please help me!” But this time, no one came. The villagers thought he was joking again.

The wolf chased the sheep, and the boy could not stop it.

The boy felt very sorry for his mistake.

Moral: Always tell the truth. If you lie, people may not believe you when you really need help.
